The WEDI Value-Based Care Workgroup is convening a government fireside chat with representatives from CMS and ONC to explore the federal direction for digital quality measurement and its implications for value-based care, interoperability, provider and payer readiness, and burden reduction.
This moderated discussion will focus on how CMS and ONC are thinking about the transition from traditional quality reporting to more digital, standards-based measurement approaches, including the role of clinical data, APIs, FHIR, data quality, workflow integration, validation, and trust. The conversation will also examine how digital quality measurement can better support care improvement, population health, accountable care, and value-based payment models rather than simply digitizing existing reporting burden.
The session is intended to give WEDI members a practical understanding of federal priorities, near-term implementation considerations, and areas where industry alignment will be needed across providers, payers, ACOs, health IT developers, measure stewards, standards organizations, and policymakers. The anticipated format is a moderated fireside chat with prepared questions and a curated Q&A period.
